I answered and expressed my interest although the fact that the recruiter mentioned the client's name seemed odd to me. It was also a CFO position, and usually you'd think the company wouldn't be advertising those positions like that.

Today, the LinkedIn message history is completely gone and when I search for the recruiter's profile that I was looking at *yesterday*, it's completely gone. I come up empty. but the email copy is still in my email inbox. It's like LinkedIn knew it was a spam account and deleted it.

My scam antennas were already up on this one and had they asked for any kind of money or 'you got the job, send us your direct deposit information' I'd have been out of there so fast.

just be careful out there.
