and undefeated and still being told no matter what that they weren’t getting an invite was lame. Had BYU beat Hawaii and Florida lost their last game then BYU would’ve been the best team available for the at large bid. That’s what led to the need for further discussion around what it would take for a non-G5 team to earn a spot.

If an undefeated BYU team with one of the highest powered offenses in the country led by the Doak Walker award winner wasn’t enough then what would be? So, a change was needed and Boise & Utah have BYU to thank.
