I'm listening to The Hunchback of Notre Dame audiobook...though I enjoy the narrator, it is generally difficult to
remain interested (so far).

Parisian architecture, printing press, architecture...long chapters of musings about architecture.

I feel like I'm 1/3 into this book and the story hasn't even started other than introducing a few characters, but mostly setting the Parisian stage (again, more architecture)

I should have seen this coming because even Les Miserable (which is an all time great story) has large sections of boring tangential topics.

I just need to read good writing from time to time (though overly descriptive and boring in sections) after reading Michael Vey to my young kids (sorry Richard Paul Evans...frankly, you're not a great writer)
