It doesn't work the same in football like it does in bball.
In bball, you have very talented players that can be "one and done." In this case KY has an amazing pitch:
"Hey, come to BYU and truly focus on your craft. No outside distractions, no partying, no girls. Let's just focus 100% on ball and getting you ready for the NBA. My staff and I can and will develop you into the player, on and off the court, that you need to be in order to be successful in the NBA."
Football doesn't have one and dones. That exact line is not easy to replicate with football.
