scheduled any "away" games with anyone other than P5/4 since they had joined this higher echelon?

Just as you note, I thought such an approach to scheduling was standard now for P4 and was surprised with the CSU addition. Wyoming kind of carried over from our independent days when we NEEDED games, so although I don't want our team to go to Laramie, I kind of understood.

I remember back when I was writing for CougarBlue and I looked at a non-conference game that Cal had in Las Cruces with New Mexico State and there were only one thousand plus in attendance and I wondered how in the world (and why) Cal could afford to go to such a far-fled location and not be able to recover expenses whatsoever. I still don't know how or why they did that, but that's not good business sense.
