Has it ever occurred to you that more money can be made by creating premium matchups?
ESPN has recovered its capital costs in the ACCN and got its ROI on it. This is now the ACC upside period. If ESPN can maximize those schools’ value with better matchups and more flexible TV windows, it will. ESPN seemed perfectly content to pay more for OU and Texas being in the SEC. Fox the same with USC in the B1G. They could have kept them cheaper by not moving them. Ask yourself why they didn’t stop them from moving?
