Well meaning parents misinterpreting the problem and misapplying parenting

techniques.

Said in most cases when parents bring their kids in for help with anxiety, it’s effective to excuse the child from the session early on and focus on helping the parents with a better understanding of the situation and in making course corrections in parenting techniques.
