It might be. Because dogs have always been fun
I don’t know that they are more fun than they were 40 years ago.
So either it is one of the reasons he suggests or something else such as more disposable income, more accommodations being made for dogs (like plane rides and it is now socially acceptable to bring your dog over to someone’s BBQ I guess?) or something else.
