Strength training is mind training. Seriously.
Feeling lethargic, soft, low, unmotivated, disappointed, beaten? Move some heavy stuff around. Your outlook on life will get a boost - almost instantly and free-of-charge (except for your investment of time and maybe a few bucks for secondhand weights).

Meaning "heavy" for you. Don't worry about what other dudes are lifting! You don't have to be a power lifting champ. (Take me for example. I'm never gonna be huge. And I train around old injuries. Who cares?) You don't have to join a gym. Be smart about it! Check with your doctor. Start slowly. Make sure you understand the lifts. But do get started.

Anyway, just an inexpensive, meds-free idea for guys who're looking for boost.
