Biggest shock I've encountered between the military and civilian workforce:
Medication. Seems like 50% of the civilian workforce is currently prescribed something. This brings its own headaches when you're trying to manage a workforce.
Did not consider the stellar employee who can have seizures on me if she missed her meds that day.
