More lanes means more traffic. If there are more lanes to drive in, you best
believe people are going to occupy those lanes.
The US needs to get away from its car culture and terrible city planning.
I’m not saying that everyone needs to start riding public transport and bikes tomorrow, because the infrastructure isn’t available for it unfortunately, but future urban planning should reflect more public transport, biking and walking.
