We have a two story (and basement). We have no problem cooling it. Even in 100+
degree weather, the 2nd story stays nice and cool.
You just have to have the right AC, blower, and overall system.

Find something better to hang as a temporary blind. How about a blanket, or a curtain?

Check the filter. Especially right after a build, these can get clogged easily.

Not a blind issue. It's an ac issue. I'd have the system looked at.

Definitely something Amiss with the AC system. It’s not a lack of blinds.

Almost everyone for the last 30+ years builds two-story houses. I’m one of them. It’s hard to get an upper floor cool.
