that’s ok. That’s not all that matters in CFB. And maybe the worst part of the playoffs is the overemphasis on that being the only metric that matters.
We can still root for our team and enjoy the ride. Year to year there’s only 6-8 or so teams that have a realistic shot of winning it. Doesn’t mean the season isn’t potentially great or worth celebrating for the other 127-129 teams.
Maybe we can play for a spot and occasionally even win a game but I don’t see a scenario wherein BYU beats an ole miss, a Georgia, and an Ohio state all in one year. (Same applies to Utah of course) 90% of the CFP champs are gonna be SEC/B1G and teams like FSU, Miami and MAYBE Clemson if they can figure things out
It’s also the reason BYU fans love to crap on recruiting rankings (but not when our rankings actually improve)
We really just need to get out of this dang bottom tier ASAP.
