Japan Coug Intervention Needed
I agree, '70s and '80s rock are different animals. '70s rock is just as popular
now as it was in the '80s and '90s, IMO (I'm including some rock from the late '60s in this too, when I mention "'70s rock"). And '80s rock is barely less popular than it was in the '90s and '00s.

My kids (in their teens and twenties) listen to a lot of music from that era, and are familiar with almost everything that was really popular back then. It's weird. Very different than when I was their age — I listened to essentially nothing that my parents liked or listened to. I probably couldn't name more than 5 songs they liked (and those were almost all from the Carpenters, a '70s band).
