Who knows. In the 80s, it was hard to find 40s and 50s music on the radio and NONE of the kids and adults listened to
It. Just those who grew up in ww2.

In 2024, there are classic rock and 80s stations everywhere and the kids still rock to it (mine do) and young people still cover the music.

It’s fixing to be a genre that well outlasts the composers and songwriters.

Eagles will fade though, their aggressive blocking tactics on YouTube covers and not allowing the use of their music limits exposure. When the old fans die, there will be few left who recognize the songs.

Such a dumb decision by a great band.
