And they claim they don’t recruit at AF 😂
Well at least ai know Timo does not. I hear directly this story from the source. Casey Clinger should have run at Peasant Grove. They live well within the PG school boundary. So the first day of practice Casey shows up at Timo’s practice. Timo tells him to leave and go to PGs cross practice. So the next day Casey’s father shows up with Casey and Timo was told, “no, he’s going to AF” and the rest was history. AF has benefited for years from cross town recruiting and lately from other states.

I personally don’t think it’s cheating based on I know their coaches don’t recruit. But alumni and parents do. The reality is if parents would support their local programs these student runners could still have great careers. Unfortunately very few parents get involved in cross country or track. I had issues getting parents to come out at certain invites. But if these kids were playing for the football, soccer, baseball or basketball teams and parents support those sports like crazy.

case in point, Zach Hilhouse, he easily could have forced a transfer to AF, but his parents supported the PG coach. He’s not Timi but he’s won a girls 6A championship in cross. The reality is Zach due to his families support competed and excelled as well at PG as he would have at AF. Believe it or not the coaches at other programs know how to coach as well.
