They know the demographic that's arriving at the age where cruise ships are
attractive:
A larger percentage of retirees with the money and the desire to see beautiful sights while having a rest from yard and house cleaning while still having nicer meals taken care of.

That demographic moving from the work force will strongly affect the economy - spending their savings while no longer adding utilituy. As they age out or retire to nursing homes more homes will be added to the for-sale market dropping prices and making homes more easily bought by large buyers like BlackRock and younger buyers.

This will end within a generation so there will be incredible deals on cruises in 20 years with the extra ships and fewer passengers available. We're saving for lots of cruises, never leaving ship (except for excursions) for years.
