James Robert McMahon Jr. (born August 21, 1959) is an American former football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 15 seasons, most notably with the Chicago Bears. He played college football at Brigham Young University, where he was a two-time All-American and later a 1998 inductee of the College Football Hall of Fame. Due to his collegiate success, McMahon was selected by the Bears in the first round of the 1982 NFL Draft as the fifth overall pick.
