I don’t think any of us that were around then exclude Jim from the 80s greats. He was a superb QB and a good punter.
And he was crazy driven.
Oh, and I remember being at the USU game where Young played in place of McMahon because the latter was injured. Young was having a poor game and McMahon was ticked! After one play Jim tossed his cowboy hat in disgust. Young eventually pulled out the win. Then everybody went to the Christopher Cross concert at the Marriott Center.

McMahon was amazing. Teams would run different defenses to try to stop him ... drop 9, rush 2 then rush 9, drop 2.
