I'm assuming USF is being replaced on the 2026 schedule. Possible opponents
For this criteria I'm looking at P4 teams only. I'm also certain BYU will replace USF on the 2026 schedule with a home game. Since I'm a total nerd I did some research.

USC has 2 OOC home games for 2026 and fairly open years after that. There's a possibility. A H/H with USC starting with them coming to Provo. Fairly regional matchup.

Washington is another. Their 2 scheduled OOC games are vs. Eastern Washington and TBA vs. Washington State. It would be another fairly regional matchup.

UCLA and Oregon have OOC games so they don't need anymore for a bit, but looks like USC and UW both do in their transition to the Big10.

Northwestern could be a solid candidate. They've got 2 OOC on the schedule for 26, and both of them home games. Albeit one of those home games is already against a P4 team vs. Colorado. I doubt they'll want 2 P4 OOC games in this same season.

Auburn is another candidate. It's not as crazy as it sounds. They got future OOC games vs. Cal and UCLA so coming out this far isn't unheard of. They've also got some openings. They've got 2 home games in 2026. One of those is vs Baylor so they might not want another P4 team on the OOC.

Kentucky is another candidate. They've got 3 OOC games scheduled in 2026, but they're all home games and will likely schedule a road game somewhere.

Texas has an opening in 2026 as they've scheduled 3 OOC home games. One of those vs. Ohio State. I guess they'd schedule a OOC road game and then I LOL'd cause I doubt we'll ever play them again.

LSU has openings, but I'm having "didn't cross the 50 yard line flashbacks."

Vanderbilt could be a distinct possibility. They've got 3 OOC games in 26'. All of them home games.
