I'm a huge Ream homer because I'm a lifelong Fulham fan. Ream is the Fulham captain when Cairney is on the bench and while Ream's intensity isn't always screaming, the accountability is. When Mitrovic, or Tosin, or any of those guys step out of line, Ream was there every single time. Cairney is the captain because of his tenure but everyone knows Ream's leadership on and off the field is the reason why Fulham have had two decent seasons back in the Premier League. While Ream didn't get back into the Fulham squad after his ridiculous, no card injury vs Manchester City last year, he's a staple in the locker room. I hope he stays with the USMNT even if it's in a backup role, which it shouldn't be. I can easily see why he and GGG aren't on the same page.

Second, I thought they started with a chip on their shoulder last night. I thought they took the game to Uruguay in the first 20 minutes. There is no question the issue is in the final third. I'm hoping they continue to play fast like they did for most of the game last night and find better ways to attack the goal. As for me, I think GGG needs to go. We can't waste 2026 and there is no reason to think it'll be any different. What do they say about the definition of insanity?
