Been there, done that. I tried OPNSense on a Mini PC with my Unraid and Ubiquiti
LAN (with three VLANs). I eventually went back to Ubiquiti when I replaced the UXG Lite with a Cloud Gateway Ultra that runs the UniFi Network Controller natively. With the USG and the UXG Lite, I was using the UniFi Controller Reborn as a Docker container on Unraid.
Still have the OPNSense/MiniPC thing hanging around which I play with but it is currently not doing any router/firewall functions on my LAN.
