Yeah, he had an eye for D1 potential. It's one of the things LaVell was known for in the 80s
We lost out to the yewts on a LOT of head-to-head battles for Polynesian recruits throughout the entire 90s. And, yes, MAFU did a good job building with potential & developing raw talent.
