I have a particle distal bicep tendon tear...
About a month ago I was lifting a mattress, trying to lift it on my own.. I felt this tingling sensation in my right arm and noticed I had a loss of strength in that arm, some dull pain. Figured I just strained it... Every week that went by, I was getting more and more pain... when I turned my wrist a certain way and applied pressure, it really hurt. Went to the Ortho... had an MRI and he just called and said I have a 50% tear.

I'm basically deciding what to do at this point. He said that we can take a wait and see what happens, let the remaining part of the tendon strengthen back up... but he said that I could tear it fully and then surgery would definitely be required then. Or allow scar tissue to build up and the remaining tendon works and functions normally.

Has anyone here ever been in this situation? If so... what did you choose to do? If you had surgery, how long were you down for?
