We took our kids to Arches national Park over spring break. We went to delicate arch, which is not a super hard hike, but it is about 20 to 30 minutes from the car.
We saw a group posing for a photo so we offered to take a picture of them if they would then take a picture of our family.
After the lady took several photos of our family, she said, “you are going to love these!”
We started to walk back to the car, and then my wife opened her phone to look at the photos and realized, in disbelief, that the lady had simply taken pictures of our family and had not included the arch in the background at all. There we were, standing in front of delicate arch with a perfect sunset, and this lady zoomed in on us and did not get the arch in any of the photos haha.
I was over it at that point, but my wife convinced me that we should go back and get one more photo with the arch or that we would regret it. I’m really glad we did, because we found some guy who took perfect photos of our family and it is still the screensaver on my phone to this day.
But I seriously just wanted to yell at that lady, “what the heck were you thinking? You seriously think we’re all standing here in front of the arch and don’t want it in the picture??”
