After a year of debilitating migraines, my Neuro-Ophthalmologist put me on
Nortriptyline It seems to be helping a lot, but I’m pretty sure it’s causing me to have pretty severe “dry mouth” all day and night. I’m also pretty sure it’s making things taste weird. I’ve been drinking the same bottled water for years, and suddenly it tastes gross.

It says that “dry mouth” is one of the most common side effects.

I’ve tried drinking a TON more water. Drinking a lot of electrolyte liquids. Chewing sugar free gum. And cough drops. Nothing helps.

Was wondering if anyone on here has discovered a trick that works for them when they have had bad dry mouth?

I’ve never experienced a side effect like this, anyone know if the eh typically go away after my body gets more acclimated to the drug? Or will it always be like this?

TIA.
