The best option now.
We had out tank fail last year and start leaking. The repairman said current tanks only last about 6-8 years... So yes, get a tankless and save money and headaches.

Anyone have experience with a tankless hot water heater? Pros/cons?

Yes, we have one. I can't really think of a con. It's great.

I have one. Pro--Endless Hot Water. Con--$2,500-$3,500 more than a tanked one.

Just got one. Peace of mind about not having your tank fail is a big pro.

Best thing we have ever done - Kids 30 minute showers no longer a problem.

I have a tank less water heater, but not a tank less hot water heater. I like it

One other Con--If power goes out you have no hot water.

Water needs to run for a while until it recognizes the need to heat.
