a frustrating watch. And it wasn't frustrating simply because I didn't get it. Based on the editing and the score, it was intended to be a frustrating watch. And then in one 30 second scene the episode coalesces into a moment that pays off the 35:30 of frustration. I appreciate the fact that the writers and director intentionally made an episode like that. I can't imagine a meddling studio signing off on a TV episode like that one. There's no way you'd see a CSI episode, or anything on CBS, take a risk like that.
