Most definitely osprey/seahawk/fishhawk
We have them all over here in Jackson Hole. I’ve seen that many times. It’s really awesome.
Interestingly, enough, a bald eagle would rather not get wet however, the Osprey doesn’t mind. One of the cool things our kids to do is a unit where they study animals within our local habitat. Each kid gets assigned an animal and then they do a report. They also have wildlife biologist come in and teach the children. Our kids have studied the great horned owl, snow snowshoe hare, the bald eagle, and of course, the cougar. It’s pretty cool to study these animals and see them in the wild. I think we’ve seen everything except the cougar here in Jackson.
We also used to have an osprey or two that would live in our back yard/trees behind our home. They were really fun to watch.
