Males are bigger and lift their legs to pee/mark territory but other than that, I think it’s more a case by case basis. Everyone says if you’re going to have 2, they should be opposite genders. I have 3 girls and they get along great. I had 2 males that got along fine. I’ve had mixed and they got along fine. I’ve had both genders that didn’t get along with anyone. I hear all types of stereotypes around gender differences in hunting dogs. I try to watch for them and I’m pretty sure that either people see what they want to see or they see a trait in their dog and assume their sample size of 1 can be applied broadly. Certainly, buy what you like, but I think many people put to much weight on gender.
