Claiming that buyer's agents aren't worth $30k, is a fine argument. And when the market is seller friendly that likely holds up. In slower markets with fewer buyers sellers might be willing to pay more to help move their property.
But my point was simply that if a buyer's agent is going to get paid it is beneficial to both parties to have the seller pay it so that the buyer can finance that cost into the loan for the house. That is a separate argument from how much if any a buyer's agent should get paid.
