I worked for almost 40 years before retiring. I think the most PTO I ever took was 7 days. We went to Europe, left on a Friday, had two weekends, plus 7 days.

I am not saying what I did was the right thing to do, but it was the way I was raised. It's not a problem now in retirement. We just spent 16 days in Europe in April/May.
