But it's way more common at my current employer then it was anywhere else I've ever worked.

I know unlimited PTO gets a bad wrap, but it's been great for me. This year I'll probably take 3 week long breaks (Spring break, Thanksgiving week, Christmas/New Year's), 1 2 week trip (the Olympics), plus another 10 or so days here and there (long weekends, family in town, ect.) for probably 7+ weeks of PTO, which is more than I've had anywhere else.
