Even Allgeier got moved to defense because after he got to campus and RS it wasn't evident and then he took a huge leap in an off season that wasn't expected by anybody.

Sometimes guys develop after the recruiting window closes and then pop later. That's great. It makes awesome stories. It doesn't mean anybody failed at recruiting. The number of guys who throw low 80s in HS and then jump to 100+ like Skubal did is extremely low no matter what you want to look at pretending you have a magical crystal ball to see exactly what his future will develop into.
