That's nonsense. Every single player has bad games - but it's the body of work,
and for Fouss, we have 3 yrs of a sample size, not your 3-4 games where he may have struggled some. See my post below on Fouss's body of work. He did have a poor game in the NCAA tourney, but that is because the refs were either absolutely incompetent or biased, or both.
And there is typically never a "best player on a team," but rather better players for certain situations and matchups, which is why coaches talk about matchups all the time.
