I have a job interview coming up for a Series B startup. I've never worked for a startup company before so anything in particular I should consider when looking at a job offer here? Would you consider a startup or only stick to established companies?
Some more information-
I've currently got a very stable but very boring job with great work life balance and good pay. Currently two steps below the top (me -> VP -> CEO)
New place would be a step up in title (me as SVP -> CEO), a ~20% increase in base and bonus.
I've got elementary aged kids at home.
New place is in healthcare, has been around since 2017, and got $100M in series B funding in 2022 (for $150M total).
If this were a traditional company I'd make a lot of sense, but with it being a startup I'm hesitating with the unknown. Anyone work for a Series B / startup before with thoughts on the situation?
