16 inches apart. Use 3 inch screws

You can use a french cleat. You'll need a table saw or skilsaw to cut the angle

Do this. And once you use French cleats to hang the cabinets, look into using

Even if you don’t angle the cleat, you could take out back of cabinet & add a board across top & bottom of cabinet back.

Line the first hole ip with the stud. Screw it in. Measure 16 inches and put the next one on
