Their starting lineup also crashed the boards like they were 7'.
So maybe they didn't have anyone with the measured height, but they played like it. And it's going to be easier to play big when you are tall.
So necessary to have a "big"? No. Beneficial? Absolutely. Gives you more size and versatility.
