for a much better party. Utah didn’t get the invite to the party. USC, UCLA, Washington, and Oregon said…nah…you’re not coming with us.

For years they ragged on the big 12. It was beneath them. It’s a truck stop conference. PAC 12 is strong. It will have its pick of teams in expansion. Utah would never join the big 12.

Now suddenly…they’ve discovered they weren’t one of the “pretty” girls. In fact, they are quite ugly. And I don’t mean on the outside. But on the inside they are nasty, mean, ugly, and petty. They are everything you wouldn’t want in choosing a partner.

So now they come to the big 12 pleading, begging, for an invite. “Please let us in to your party…we are sorry we thought we were so much better…you guys are great…can we please pretty please come to your party.”

And once again BYU takes pity on them and offers a pity invite so Utah can feel cool again.

And as if they’ve learned nothing…because the haven’t…once they get to the party all they can talk about is the previous party they were at…and how it was so much better…and this party sucks…and they can’t believe they are here…but the invite to a much better party is coming and we can leave this stupid party with these losers…the pretty girls will like us again…they are our friends…they just went to check out the other party to see if it is good and then they will call us to come over once they’ve made sure it really is a good party. Those are our friends. Even though it looks like they abandoned us…they still really want us…”

A more pathetic and desperate fan base does not exist.
