There are competitors. Google doesn't sell their hardware, but they sell the
service that runs on their hardware (TPUs).
Their TPUs and the infrastructure that runs on them is also on the cutting edge. In many ways ahead.
Other chip makers are catching up. Nvidia will probably still be top dog, but soon they'll be competing on price and their margins will fall.
