Yeah, but that competitive balance was clearly on the steep decline in the late 90s.
There was obviously respect for each other as coaches — as little interest either had in speaking with the other. Who was more at fault in that? My money's on Reid — but honestly, I could be wrong on that. Majerus was a pretty two-faced guy.
