1. When you switch schools, like moving to high school or college, it’s a good opportunity to reinvent yourself. If you’ve been shy before, try to be more outgoing. If you were a bad student before, start hitting the books more.
2. Enjoy where you are right now. Now that you’re a freshman, don’t look forward to being a senior or being at college. Enjoy your freshman year for all it has to offer.
3. Embrace seminary. It can change your trajectory for your spiritual life and foster a love of the scriptures, second only to serving a mission, in my opinion.
4. Treat every single person with kindness. I worried too much about what others thought of me or what I was doing that made me look cool or lame. None of that popularity stuff matters. What really matters and what you want to be remembered for is how you treat others.
