weren't many awesome umps either. Most were just pretty good. Luckily, there were minimum of two at each game. Umping a game all by yourself is very difficult. You cant get good angles at the bases to see the whole play. If bias toward a club existed, it was likely due to bad behavior by parents and or coaches. I never saw that.
