the Yellowstone population for "genetic diversity" is a disingenuous argument to keep them listed.
This time last year they were claiming it was only 35 miles separating the two populations - nothing for a grizzly to cover, which means they've probably already connected.
And if the state/fed agencies were REALLY concerned about genetic diversity, it's not hard to transplant animals from one population to the other. They trap dozens of non-trouble bears every spring, swap a few each year and your genetic diversity problem is solved.....
