In the Transfer Portal this year they couldn’t land Leavitt or Maiava both highly rated. They brought in Bohanon and Bourget who were not rated high and were cheap. Then brought in Hillstead who is a good QB but is undersized and has injury history, he was probably more NIL then Bohanon and Bourget but not even on the same map as 2 million NIL deal.

For 2025 class BYU didn’t offer any highly rated QBs.

Any of the 2024 highly rated QBs, both traditional recruits and transfers would have been a win. It would put BYU in a better position. Even if not for the 2024 season, they’d be better prepared for the future.
