It would be shocking if he did not have access to a cell phone from which he could have dialed 911 and been directed to a safe location. He chose to pull off onto a side street (that's all these "neighborhoods" are in Lehi is mainly just side streets off the main streets), stop AND get out of his car, and then physically confront another man. He was not forced to fight in self defense. He chose to fight.
