It depends. I like staying in West Yellowstone as it's close to the park
entrance. Prices there have gotten a lot more expensive over the years, though. If I don't stay in West Yellowstone, I usually stay in a cabin in Island Park. I've wondered about staying inside the park, as it would make it easier to see things inside without the long drive into the park, but I haven't ever actually done it.
