You have to check on the runs for the area you are going. That time of year
the Silvers or Coho will be in the ocean and not in the drainages yet. The pinks should be in by then but do some research on youtube for the areas and drainages you will be near and bring the gear and go out and explore. Bring bear spray and stay alert and don't go alone.

I go the last week of August to first week of September every year in Cordova and really do well.

Then the first week of September to about the last week of Sept. I go to Prince of Whales Island and do well there also.

Lots of fun. If you get get one a flyrod, make sure it is big enough and has at least 20lb test on it. Pink, white and purple streamers.

For lures, lots of them. Flying C's work great.
