Lots of misinformation going around. My guess is BYU has yet to agree to any $1M NIL deal for a player. Demin's total
package probably exceeds $1M because they have to pay a hefty buyout (reports say up to $600K) and perhaps some extra travel expense.
My view is BYU still will not engage in bidding wars, and will not be the ones driving up player comp. BYU advantage may come on contract buyout requirements.
