and this time I'm leaning towards going with Anaheim Desert Inn. From my searching the web for answers in the past, it seems both are rated about equally, with the latter being a little more expensive but also a little nicer and a little closer. Granted, I haven't re-evaluated or searched yet for our tentative upcoming trip, so I may go a different direction altogether. Also, in case you are wondering why not go with the Del Sol Inn this time, if I remember right the last time we had 5 people going and Del Sol had good options for multiple beds in the same room (I think there were 2 queens and a bunk bed), and this time we only have 4 so a standard room is fine for us. Like I said, I'm exploring options myself so this thread can help inform me too.

The location of those two is great; you can't really get much closer (there are a couple other options nearby which are just as close or closer). They are budget hotels/motels, though, so you'd want to consider that. They weren't shady or anything, and I don't recall unpleasant experiences. However, we pretty much always did budget hotels growing up so I'm used to it, but your preferences may be different. Personally I like the location/price balance of those hotels (more focused on location).
